Capesize: scale only works when the cargo and ports can use it
CharterPulse uses an approximately 180,000 DWT Capesize as a planning class. It is most relevant for very large dense-bulk stems where load/discharge infrastructure, draft and cargo volume can actually exploit the vessel's scale.
Where it tends to fit

| Can reduce unit cost on very large stems | Severe under-utilisation on normal mid-size regional cargoes. |
| Relevant for major ore/coal programmes | Not a default SEA regional planning class. |
Planning rule: do not select Capesize because the modeled $/MT is lower unless the cargo quantity and both ports genuinely support the class.
